Cyber Atelier
Off the Page Podcast
As Cyber Atelier is a mutlimedia platform, I had the idea to adjust the format of our print issue and link it to audio interviews to mix up the traditional presentation of written interviews. I sat down with NIAMH, a talented producer and singer to discuss the intersections of AI and music. Diving into conversation about how the worlds of musicality and technology combine and clash.
Cyber Atelier - Issue 5 - 3 Creatives in Studio3000
This magazine feature includes conversation from 3 local creatives, Olive(r) Toxopeus, Evelyn Palace, and Zacquel Phipps. The feature followed the theme of issue 5 of Cyber Atelier - Attention - and through conversation we sought to bring attention to the creative processes of each of these individuals who engage with various different mediums as a means of expressing themselves artistically. Through these interviews we wanted to reveal to young aspiring creatives, the various manifestations of "process", and provide guidance and insight on how others find inspiration.
Pandemic on the Dancefloor
BA UvA Student Documentary Project
For this documentary we wanted to investigate the effects that COVID-19 had has on the local music industry. We managed to get in contact with key players like: Paradiso, local club owners, local artists and recording studios, and so on, and got insight from all levels of the local music industry, seeing how each entity involved in this scene responded to the pandemic, some adapted events to restrictions and some had to completely halt their careers. Ultimately, as the music scene thrives on community, it suffered when we all had to relegate ourselves to isolation for the greater good.

Cyber Atelier Issue 4 - Fashion Project
Keeping in theme of issue 4 "A New World", we spoke to 3 creators involved in fashion on different levels: a designer, a thrift-store owner a digital artist; to ask them their thoughts on the digitalisation of fashion and sustainable practices. The interviews centers around the expansion of the world of fashion into the virtual realm, and how such phenomena informs and alters our material reality.
Cyber Atelier Issue 4 - The Klittens Interview
The Klittens is a dutch band who use their musical platform for political and activist purposes. This band's methodology recalls Riotgrrrl DIY practices, as the group calls themselves "untrained and unbothered", striking away from overly polished industry standards, and using their music as a mode of self-expression that is organic and authentic.
